In honour of their dedication and ongoing principles of sustainability, they were recently awarded a fourth green flag from Eco Schools Scotland.
Donna said: "We touch on a variety of subjects that are all linked to our eco programme.
To ensure pupils are fully aware of the effects of climate change, the school also work closely with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Marine Research Institute in Stonehaven.
The school are also keen to make sure that parents get involved in the eco work they undertake.
Acting deputy head teacher Donna Reekie said: "We are thrilled to be nominated for an award. It shows that all of the hard work from the staff, pupils and parents is being recognised and making a difference within our local community.

Each year, the eco committee run several competitions and awareness raising campaigns that reach out to pupils and the wider community. Through their curricular work in class, children often find themselves considering issues pertaining to sustainability and the environment.
Since launching their eco programme in 2006, the school now have their own allotment, a dedicated eco committee and a green fingered Garden Gang who tend to the school's grounds.
She said: "The school has a good relationship with a range of businesses and organisations from the local community and further afield. The RSPB work closely with Mill O' Forest pupils and attend the school regularly to help us consider improving biodiversity on our school grounds.
Donna said: "One of the things we are very proud of is our dedicated committee, as it gives pupils the opportunity to build confidence, share their ideas, learn new skills and contribute to the running of their school.
More than 400 pupils at Mill O'Forest primary and nursery school in Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, are being educated in ways to be more environmentally aware through curricular work and hands on after school clubs.
